Mastermind - English Social Inquiry Contest
Mastermind has become the very first and the biggest social inquiry contest in the North of Vietnam with hundreds of contestants participating every year. Mastermind is an open platform for the responsible youth to express their opinions on the global concerns. We strives for helping young people interested in social development use English as a stepping stone to fully comprehend various global issues, to speak up and lead changes.
COMMUNICATIONS - Content
Apart from advocating for the brand of EC, we hold the power of content writing mixed with creativity and a strong sense of empathy in order to bring EC closer to its audience. In our content team, we prioritize a supportive and caring environment for individuals who want to bring on the impact of words.
COMMUNICATIONS - Design
COM Design aims to fascinate the audiences with the magic of visual storytelling, and thus further conveying EC's core values and messages. Joining COM Design, you are equipped with not only graphic design skills but also the chance to cherish your own identity.

EA takes responsibility for building the connection between EC and Sponsors for the club's events, as well as manages the club's financial status. With practical experiences obtained from working with internal and external stakeholders, we focus on constructing an affectionate department of reliable and proactive members.
​ORGANIZING
ORG strives for materializing PRO's ideas and other departments' requests by project supervision. In other words, we represent EC to organize events with a view to delivering the best customer experience in a dynamic and professional context. With various leadership positions, we push you out of your comfort zone, create room for your self-growth and promote your competencies.
PROGRAMMING
PRO is in charge of project idea generation and implementation plan for EC's events. With constant R&D procedures, we attempt to consistently refine EC's products, thus fulfill audiences' needs and promote the brand of EC. Embracing diversity, we share a goal to create an open and nurturing space for humble and inquisitive youngsters.
1. Does EC recruitment require an IELTS/TOEIC or another English certificate?
An English certificate is not required for EC recruitment, and candidates are not evaluated through their English knowledge, but their mindsets and commitment. Only the Programming Department requires a better foundation of English.
2. Can I work in 2 departments in EC?
ECers can only choose 1 of the 4 departments: Communication, External Affairs, Organizing and Programming when officially a member of EC. Still, members from separate departments can meet and cooperate in subgroups while being involved in the process of ongoing events.
3. Do ECers share English materials and practice English skills together?
In EC, members' English knowledge is boosted along with our skills and mindsets through various events throughout the year. After each event, ECers gain experiences that support our personal growth and professional future.
4. Is being inexperienced a disadvantage when applying to EC?
EC appreciates candidates with suitable skills and mindsets instead of an impressive starting point. Don't be afraid of being inexperienced, just try your best and EC will help you find your best version, the best "you"!
5. I am quite shy, can I get on well in EC?
"Come as guest, stay as family" stated our slogan, we respect diversity and welcome everyone. Be yourself and EC will blend you in.
6. What if meeting schedule and my school schedule overlap?
EC has external events and internal events all year round. There is no fixed meeting schedule in preparation for events, and meetings are flexibly arranged depending on members' availability. Don't worry if you cannot join a meeting or two, though! Meeting reports are there to save the day, ensuring you don't miss a thing.
